Moving your child forward

If you or your doctor are concerned about your child’s physical progress or an injury, yourkidsphysio is the expert physiotherapy practice you need.

Why Come to Us?

Why Come to Us

  • We provide a thorough physical examination tailored to your child’s age and stage of development.

  • Children reach milestones at their own individual pace but most develop through stages in a general sequence. Early Physiotherapy intervention helps children reach physical milestones, gain independence and participate more fully in life.

  • When your GP recommends that your child see a Paediatric Physiotherapist, it means they believe your child would benefit from expert support in developing their movement, strength, coordination, or physical skills. Support from a paediatric physiotherapist can make a big difference to your child’s confidence, participation, and overall development.

  • Some children lose confidence in sport when they find physical activities difficult or overwhelming. Supportive, positive experiences and early intervention to build underlying motor skills are key to helping children regain confidence and enjoy being active.

  • Children who struggle with coordination, motor planning, strength, or stability can find physical activities hard and may choose to step back. Supporting them early makes a big difference.

  • Research has resulted in significant changes to how musculoskeletal and neurological conditions are managed. Paediatric physiotherapists can advise you on the latest therapy options.

Our Solutions

Our Solutions

  • We observe the way your child moves and thoroughly assess muscles, nerves, and motor skills.

Formal assessments such as the HINE, AIMS and MABC are also used as required.

We may refer you for an ultrasound, X-ray or EOS to assess a scoliosis, leg length difference or to rule out hip pathology.

We may recommend splinting, serial casting, taping or bracing to complement therapy.

We work with you to develop a therapy plan, including frequency of therapy and timelines.

  • In the clinic – encouraging movement through play using fun toys and age-appropriate games that engage your child.

Telehealth - in the convenience of your own home. Great for follow-up consultations and to review home exercise programs.

Home and park visits – sometimes you get the best out of your child when they are in their familiar setting.

Kids Classes – for 10 – 15 year olds with hypermobility, poor posture, pain or growth-related conditions.

  • We work in collaboration with a close network of best practice practitioners. Should you require a referral, we can assist you in finding the most suitable person for you and your child.

  • We understand how overwhelming it can be for parents to navigate the sea of information online. That’s why we provide a clear, professional diagnosis to help you understand your child’s movement difficulties and take the next steps with confidence.

We source reliable online resources you can trust.

We offer a structured, step-by-step approach to ensure your child achieves the best possible results.

Most children will be provided with a tailored home exercise program for your reference.

To find out your coverage, you should contact your health fund directly. We use a HICAPS machine at the clinic for instant claiming of the rebate, where you'll pay the remaining "gap" amount.

  • Yes, Medicare can cover part of the cost of physiotherapy through the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan provided a child has a chronic condition or complex developmental disorder and a GP or paediatrician referral. For a CDM plan, a child needs a condition that has been present or is likely to be present for at least six months, with eligibility determined by their doctor.
